California, USA – August 20, 2026 – After spending 37 years helping children discover the joy of learning, award-winning educator and author Jacqueline H. Faber (Jacquie Faber) is beginning an exciting new chapter in her literary journey. Her imaginative children’s stories are reaching readers in newly republished editions under her own publishing imprints. This gives Faber greater creative ownership over the books that carry her signature combination of storytelling, humor, curiosity and learning.

Faber is the author of four children’s picture books. Created with young readers, families, and educators in mind, the books feature memorable characters and entertaining adventures, complimented by educational backmatter that encourages children to keep discovering long after the story ends.

With the latest editions now available, readers, parents, teachers, librarians, and longtime supporters are encouraged to seek out the newly republished versions of Faber’s books. The updated releases represent an important milestone for the author as she brings her work forward and continues building a collection that reflects her creative and inspirational vision.

In Desiree’s Night Flight,a determined butterfly dreams of doing something she has been told butterflies simply cannot do: fly at night. Desiree sets out anyway, embarking on a courageous journey in which her “still, small voice” ultimately comes to her rescue. This magical story takes readers on a journey from doubt to belief in our hopes and dreams. Beyond the story, young readers can explore educational backmatter covering butterfly metamorphosis, creating a butterfly garden, and drawing a butterfly on a flower.

A Purrfect Home for Kittersis the cat’s meow! This tender story of a kitty and her best friend will touch the heart (and the funny bone) of every pet lover. Romp with Kitters in her quest to find the purrfect happy home. This also features “Feline Facts” so kids can understand their own cats!

In SuperGoldfish, tranquility inside an aquarium is disturbed by Tiger Barb, whose bullying threatens the other fish in their glass castle. SuperGoldfish uses his strengths to protect others from a feared intruder; he ultimately understands his strongest superpower is love. He demonstrates a surprising and thoughtful approach to confronting bullies. “Fish Facts for Aquariums and Oceans” extends the experience beyond the story.

In Lucy Rigg’s Naughty Pig,mischievous Pinky has developed a particular taste for flowers after hearing the bees buzz about how sweet they are. A lively cast of farm animals tries to stop him, but they are no match for Pinky’s playful determination as he stops to smell the roses—and then eats them with gusto. Young readers are treated to a charming adventure filled with personality, humor, and unconditional love. This yummy book is a bouquet of fun for the whole family.

These stories feature illustrations by N. D. Engleson and were published by Faber Press. A Purrfect Home for Kitters is published by Faber Books and features extraordinary illustrations by Valery Larson, while Stephen Adams illustrated the remarkable Desiree’s Night Flight.

Reader Praise Reflects the Story’s Timeless Appeal

The warm reception of “Lucy Rigg’s Naughty Pig” continues to reflect the book’s appeal among readers, parents, educators, and children’s literature enthusiasts. Reader John Drake described the book as “A Delightful and Heartwarming Read!”

“I first discovered this book through an advertisement and saw it featured in London exhibition in the UK. Curious and intrigued, I decided to get a copy—and I’m glad I did!

It is a charming and entertaining story that captured the playful mischief of Pinky, a clever character with a love for sweets. The vibrant storytelling and fun interactions with other farm animals make this book a joy to read. It carries a sweet message that resonates well, reminding us of unconditional love—even when we’re a little naughty!

Finding this book in a bookstore later on only reinforced how special it truly is. I highly recommend it to parents, teachers, and anyone who enjoys heartwarming children’s stories. A wonderful addition to any collection.”

A New Chapter Through Independent Republishing

Bringing her books forward under her own publishing marks an exciting newchapter for Faber, giving her greater creative ownership over stories shaped by her inspirational vision.

Readers are encouraged to look for the latest editions through her current Amazon listings, which represent the newest versions of her work. Combining imaginative storytelling with educational elements, Faber’s books invite children to laugh, explore, ask questions, and keep learning beyond the final page.

From an Award-Winning Classroom to Children’s Books

Before becoming an author, Faber spent 37 years in elementary education at Wade Thomas School in California. She pioneered Project Based Learning (PBL) and led the Gifted Writing Program across her school district while mentoring fellow educators. Her dedication to joyful, child-centered learning earned her the Golden Bell Award, the highest honor given by the California School Boards Association. Today, that same philosophy of curiosity, creativity, and discovery continues throughout her children’s books.

Coming Next: The Day the Dinosaurs Danced, follows T-Rex Dexter as frightening weather surrounds the dinosaurs on their last day on Earth. Determined to overcome fear Dexter comes up with an unexpected idea—to convince his friends to dance. Designed with elementary classrooms in mind, the story features a surprising, transformative ending, Meet the Dinosaurs, and amazing colorful illustrations by N.D. Engleson. Faber is currently seeking an agent or publisher for this unique project.
